Built on the many contributions of philosophers, alchemists, and experimenters, understanding of the periodicity of the elements was the breakthrough factor for creation of useful arranging of the elements.

This segment focuses on the earliest appliers of the proper weight of elements and the discovery of their properties periodic occuring when in weight order (the Periodic Law), a Frenchman, a German, and a Russian, plus an Englishman who revised the order with X-Ray.

One of the two presentation choices is a .pdf of the series of slides that make up the PowerPoint, useful for quick appraisal. The other is the PowerPoint itself, which should download to your computer, and you can save and use it from there.

You may manipulate the PowerPoint file in any way for your own classroom use, but not post or otherwise distribute it following changing.
